We often get called in to help companies with constructing a go-to-market plan for a new product or new market segment. A good go-to-market plan is much more than a marketing communications plan, though that is a component of it. Go-to-market planning is best conducted from the outside-in, from the vantage point of your prospective customer. That requires a solid understand of your ideal target market, not just by segment or even by company name, but by individual roles within the organization. The Go-to-Market Roadmap we use in client engagements follows six steps for developing a market-driven go-to-market plan.
