Steve Conway is a twenty year IT industry veteran who specializes in strategic market analysis, positioning, public and analyst relations. Conway has provided strategic guidance for industry leaders IDC, Sun Microsystems, Cray, Silicon Graphics, Cable & Wireless and America Online. Conway has served as an executive for Cray Inc, CompuServe Corporation, Cray Research, and Shandwick, and as a loaned executive to United HealthCare.
Conway serves on the steering committee of the HPC (High Performance Computing) User Forum, the DICE (Data Intensive Computing Environment) technical advisory panel, and the advisory boards of several high-tech firms. He has been a delegate for the Computerworld Smithsonian Awards. A former Senior Fulbright Fellow, he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in German literature from Columbia University and a master’s in comparative literature from Brandeis University, where he also completed Ph.D. coursework and exams.
